Thomas Hoyt graduated with a Master of Science in clinical counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He completed his internship for graduation at The Samaritan Inn, in McKinney, working with residents hoping to transition out of homelessness. This work helped to shape Thomas into the counselor he is today, and his continued work at both The Samaritan Inn and in private practice challenges him to keep learning and growing in this profession.

Thomas believes that lasting change and enduring hope begins when a person can be truly seen and heard in a space free from the judgements and expectations of this world. He strives to create an environment of trust and unconditional care within each of his counseling sessions. The courage that it takes to walk through the doors of the counseling office should never be underestimated. It is that very courage that will allow people to draw from their personal well of strength and experience to make changes in their lives they may have never believed possible.
